I would like to discuss something of particular importance next. Yes, we are still giving away information. But this time instead of giving away leads to your prospects, we are going to talk about something with more structure. It can be used pre-sale, and it can be used post sale. It can be used as content to generate leads, or it can be used to keep your clients around for longer terms than they normally might.

I will precede the information I am about to discuss with the following statement (it is my opinion); “A persons willingness to spend time learning is in direct proportion to their need or desire for a particular result or goal.” Without the goal or need, a person will take what you have at face value, and you may never be able to help them, or they will get help on their own terms. So, what am I talking about. I am talking about your ability to give away information sessions or training by phone and/or webinar.

These sessions can be used to generate interest in your products or services, or they might train your client on how to use your products or services, or you could use them as retention tools. No matter what the reason, it keeps your name in front of your prospects and clients, and keeps them engaged with you, your product, and your offer. These sessions also offer you a great opportunity to subtly cross sell other products and services into your clients.

These sessions are also a great opportunity for you to assist your prospects and customers in correcting their belief about something, or assisting them in getting a clear answer to something they are doing wrong, and their next steps.

Sounds pretty simple, doesn’t it… It really is, but it isn’t an action that many small businesses engage in. It takes time to set up and invite and/or advertise what it is that you will be discussing. Not to mention marketing takes some capital as well. But, ultimmately, it paves the way for you to introduce yourself, your products or services, soften the approach, yet most importantly give your clients the answers they need to make the right descisions for themselves.
