Make business decisions quickly!

Posted on June 10, 2009

This may be more of a rant than a good blog post, but feel free to judge for yourself.

I have recently encountered a situation with a company that I feel has been  leveraging a high level of bureaucracy instead of making quick competent business decisions, and holding to those decisions to ensure they can move forward and make earn revenues.  Read the rest of this entry »

YouTube.com for Small Business

Posted on March 23, 2009

I am an advocate of YouTube.  Yes, there are some funny things to watch, there are movie trailers, and more, but what about your small business?  Chris Crum is a writer for WebProNews.  I enjoy reading his blog posts/articles.   In one of his latest articles he discusses some of the business benefits of YouTube.  Have a read here:

In later posts, I want to examine, in a little more detail the benefits of using YouTube for your small business, adding video to your Website to drive walk-in or telephone traffic, etc.  But feel free to read the existing article.  I found it intriguing.

Small Business? Cutting your marketing budget? Try this first.

Posted on February 14, 2009

While the economy is currently hitting people in their pockets, are becoming more frugal, and making smarter buying decisions, you as a small business owner, have probably been forced to think about where you can cut back in your own business without sacrificing your service, support for your customers, etc.

As you consider cutting your marketing and advertising spending, (yes, I know you have) you should consider updating your Website.  You need to consider updating your content with updated, keyword rich descriptive information about your products, services, and support services for your prospects and customers.  Consider adding an FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) page with the most commonly asked questions by your prospects and customers to “pre-answer” those questions your browsing prospects may have and make them feel more comfortable with your business.

Posted on February 2, 2009

It is no secret that businesses are hurting and many retailers, service companies, consultants, and sales organizations are wondering where the next sales are coming from to keep their doors open, employees employed and their existing clients happy.  The truth is that consumer confidence is off because money is tight for most people.  Well, I ran across a good VLOG and article at BusinessWeek.com this morning, and wanted to share it with everyone.
