This is exactly how I feel about the Microsoft proposed Yahoo Take Over.

Posted on February 5, 2008

I came across this in a Google alert tonight, ironically enough… It is an article written by Jonathan Weber, former founder and editor of the Industry Standard.  He articulates almost exactly how I feel about a proposed merger or buyout by Microsoft.  Check it out here:  http://technology.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/tech_and_web/the_web/article3307589.ece.

Infopreneurship for small business, Part Three

Posted on January 15, 2008

I would like to discuss something of particular importance next. Yes, we are still giving away information. But this time instead of giving away leads to your prospects, we are going to talk about something with more structure. It can be used pre-sale, and it can be used post sale. It can be used as content to generate leads, or it can be used to keep your clients around for longer terms than they normally might.

Infopreneurship for Small Business, Part One.

Posted on January 8, 2008

Small businesses thrive on their ‘bread and butter’ local clientele.   The key to SMB success is to keep informing your local prospects and customers that there is a reason to keep you (the SMB) top of mind in their everyday lives.  The result being repeat sales or referrals to your customers friends in the future.  In this article, I want to explore the concept of the SMB (you) becoming an infopreneur to your prospects and customers.  First, lets define infopreneur.  I define an infopreneur as a definitive information resource for your prospects and customers regarding your products and services.  Wikipedia defines infopreneur here.

Not much to say, me, really???

Posted on December 28, 2007

I haven’t had much to say lately, I have been focused on other ventures. My full time job, a side startup (www.cancersupportnet.com) , and some consulting that has been coming my way. It’s all relative really. It leaves little time to actually write, even though I love to do so. I have a lot to say (at least I think so). However, I have a colleague and a friend who has been doing a spectacular job in my absence. I wanted to pay him some homage with a link, and a little support, as I think his writing is great, and his subject matter is just as good. he even posted an interview today with Cotton Rohrscheib.

Check him out at www.dropthemike.com. His work is well thought out, and directed.

Great job Mike, and keep it up!

Should you consider creating an IPhone compatible Website?

Posted on August 17, 2007

Well some people think so.  In an article about optimizing your site for the IPhone on the WHIR (Web Hosting Industry and Review)  they discuss why it might be important for you, a few companies that are doing it, and how you might think about doing it… I thought it might be worth mentioning.
